A global travel industry firm’s application estate, primarily hosted on-premises, was compromised and inoperable. They needed emergency support to enable them to continue business operations. Within a short number of days, Credera established a cloud infrastructure build with secure connectivity that enabled key business processes to continue functioning.
Navigating an inoperable application estate.
As a result of compromised critical applications, this global travel company was unable to operate and faced a material business continuity risk. Their backup, cloud, and on-premises systems were offline, and wider network links were down globally. Our team also faced an internal client knowledge transition challenge, as a large percentage of permanent SMEs were unavailable due to the COVID-19 crisis. This was exacerbated by many key documents being out of date or unavailable.
Migrating on-premises business applications to the cloud.
We quickly mobilised a multi-disciplinary team of operation recovery specialists, project managers, cloud subject matter experts, infrastructure subject matter experts, architects, and engineers. They worked with the travel company’s permanent staff to assess the business recovery and continuity options.
Our team established and executed a plan to build the core applications and critical data sets securely in an Azure Cloud.
We successfully extracted and loaded data to establish the installation and configuration of the core application.
Rehosting mission critical applications into Azure Cloud.
Credera delivered a new and secure cloud infrastructure at intense pace, leveraging industry best practice policies and procedures. We provided the client with a secure network and infrastructure design to enable availability and regional failover.
Leveraging PaaS DB, Backup, and Patching, we also helped the company to securely rehost the remaining mission critical applications into Azure.
Our knowledge was imparted to the client’s team to ensure that they could continue the restoration of services.
