Social Value
Credera's mission is to make an extraordinary impact on our clients, people, and communities. We want to be a force for good in the communities we work in and our people are passionate about contributing positively to society.
Embedding and increasing social value in everything we do as a company.
It is our aim to deliver long-term and sustainable outcomes to those who benefit from our social value work.
What are the Social Value team's focus areas for 2023?
Our main goal is to continuously increase the social value we deliver as our organisation grows - particularly within the local communities close to Credera offices and where we deliver our work.
One of the ways in which we do this is via our Consulting Academy. We believe that all young people should have access to great opportunities, regardless of their socio-economic background. One of the key barriers to addressing social mobility is access to such opportunities.
The Credera Consulting Academy is our flagship social value initiative and seeks to bridge this gap. It is a skills-based initiative founded on the principles of social mobility and is aimed at 16-18 year-olds.

What’s happening within Social Value?
Credera has partnered with a number of schools to deliver the Credera Consulting Academy, including schools in Newcastle, Leeds, Jersey, and London.
So far, we have trained over 25 of our consultants to deliver the Academy workshops and have reached over 400 students.
The Academy is an opportunity for students to build on their skills and knowledge around a career in consulting that they may not otherwise get. We believe that the skills and confidence the students take away are not only key to a successful consulting career, but are also transferrable across many different work settings. In this respect, we hope that they will benefit the students, regardless of the career path they choose.

Want to know more about the Credera Consulting Academy?
We are targeted in our selection of schools and the areas in which we run the Credera Academy programme. This is to ensure we provide access to opportunities to disadvantaged students and ultimately improve social mobility.
As soon as we have capacity to onboard new schools to the Credera Academy programme, members of our Social Value team identify further suitable locations through outreach work. We then hold discussions with leadership within the schools to ensure that we are targeting underprivileged students. This is how our new partnerships are formed.
