We asked Emily Markey why she chose to join Credera to further her career in Business Transformation.
What attracted you to Credera?
The culture and the people are truly what differentiate Credera and make it an incredibly special place to work. Speaking to employees before I joined enabled me to experience the warmth and passion that individuals felt for the organisation.
Credera has a fantastic culture that really does put people first. Emphasis is placed on supporting an inclusive culture, with individuals able to bring their whole self to work and who are really made to feel valued for their contributions.
What’s an average day at Credera for you?
There isn't really an average day. Every day is filled with exciting challenges, whether it be client work or drafting and delivering proposals. There are also lots of exciting internal opportunities alongside ‘the day job’!
What’s your favourite thing about working for Credera?
Easy – the people! Everyone is very friendly, great to work with and extremely knowledgeable. There are also a large range of social events and societies that really bring the company together and I have been amazed at just how quickly I’ve managed to get to know everyone.
How has Credera helped you grow in your professional career?
I’m in the fantastic position of being able to lead our growing Operating Model capability, whilst working with clients and Credera colleagues to deliver complex projects.
How does Credera motivate you to give your best?
Working alongside highly motivated and talented colleagues on interesting problems is incredibly motivating. It’s very satisfying when we solve tricky problems for clients and they appreciate the work that we’ve done for them. Credera is also excellent at recognising high performers, with monthly awards for people who have demonstrated our brand values and offering regular opportunities for career progression.
What advice would you give recent hires?
Talk to everyone and get involved. There are so many interesting opportunities, both work and social, that are only a conversation away! Credera is very open to new ideas and is constantly striving to adapt and improve, so your thoughts and input are always welcome.
