We asked Emily Richter why she chose to join Credera to further her business transformation career.

What attracted you to Credera?

I have worked in large consultancies throughout my career and was attracted to Credera as it gave me the opportunity to expand the business transformation practice. We are selling really exciting work across a range of different accounts, demonstrating the value that we are able to provide to our clients. There is currently an enormous demand for business transformation work (we see evidence of this in incoming bids) and undoubtedly Brexit and Covid-19 are contributing to this hike in demand.

What’s your favourite thing about working for Credera?

I love the size of the company. The people are very friendly, approachable, and responsive, going above and beyond to help you. This includes pulling together last minute bids and providing coaching to support specific client requirements.

What’s your favourite benefit that we offer?

Credera is a generous company and reward their staff for demonstrating our key values on a monthly basis. I feel staff recognition is something that a lot of companies overlook, but Credera excel at it. 

How has Credera helped you grow in your professional career?

Watching our business transformation practice grow over the last 18 months has been a huge achievement for everyone involved. We are selling exciting work in diverse markets and there is a real sense of camaraderie across the team. I am supported by my Line Manager and mentor in striving towards the goals I set myself. 

How does Credera motivate you to give your best?

I am motivated by working with similar-minded consultants who strive to do the best for our clients, maximise the value Credera brings, and ultimately continuing selling work. The best motivator is when a client wants to extend our project, which demonstrates our value as a firm in assisting them. Working across a number of different accounts in a variety of interesting sectors provides us with great exposure to working in environments that many people working outside of consulting may never get to experience.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy working with clients who want to learn, develop, and expand their skillset. For example, I am currently using Agile with individuals who had not even heard of the methodology beforehand but have seamlessly got to grips with it over a couple of sprints and are delivering user stories to support critical business readiness activities. This really demonstrates the value that we are able to bring.

What advice would you give recent hires?
