We asked Managing Consultant Maxon Erinjeri why he chose to join Credera to further his technical career.

What attracted you to Credera?

Having previously been at larger consultancies and systems integrators, I was looking forward to moving to a slightly smaller but growing firm when I got the call from the recruitment team. As I read through Credera’s company profile, I got the feeling that this was a place where I would have the opportunity to shape and contribute to the company’s growth more visibly. Additionally, the variety in the work that we do, the opportunity to work across client sectors, and the extremely friendly nature of people here made it a very easy decision to join.

What’s an average day at Credera for you?

Every day is a new day at Credera, and that is one of many things that makes it both interesting and enjoyable to work here. On a typical day, I am usually busy with client work and have been involved in a mixture of assurance work on large programmes and initiating programmes for clients. Over the past year, I have also had the opportunity to deliver our new HR and payroll system, lead the knowledge management team, and contribute to shaping the insurance sales campaign. There truly never is a ‘dull day in the office’ at Credera!

What’s your favourite thing about working for Credera?

There are a number of things that I could highlight here, but to call out the top three:

  1. I feel I have been hired for being me and I don’t have to be a different person in the office.

  2. There is a lot of variety in the work that we do for clients.

  3. The openness with which any matters are discussed internally and with clients.
All of these things are possible because of the people who work here – they are intelligent, they are smart, and they firmly believe in teamwork.

What’s your favourite benefit that we offer?

It is difficult to name just one, but one benefit that pleasantly surprised me when I joined was the generous annual training budget, which I have found beneficial for pursuing courses and certifications in my areas of interest.

How has Credera helped you grow in your professional career?

Before I joined the company, my roles were primarily in delivering programmes as part of supplier teams. At Credera, I have had the opportunity to wear the client hat and perform independent advisor roles. I have also had the chance to shape and deliver sales work and internal initiatives. These opportunities have really helped in sharpening my skills in programme management, business development, and client engagement.

How does Credera motivate you to give your best?

Every contribution you make at Credera, whether that is client related or internal work, is recognised and celebrated. Callouts and awards at company-wide monthly meetings and other events are great motivators. Equally motivating is the fact that good work brings more good work, and the company has organised a whole host of great offsite events.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

The opportunity to solve a varied mixture of client problems by teaming up with exceptionally talented people who live and breathe the values of the firm.

What advice would you give recent hires?

Get stuck in and feel free to experiment. We are a really friendly bunch of people, and Credera truly is a ‘safe’ environment to try out new things and share your ideas. The company also offers several work-related groups and social clubs for internals to join and contribute to, and if you find that there isn’t one that matches your interests, you can start one!
