Tell us a little bit about your background. What were you doing before starting your internship with Credera?

I’m an international student from Pakistan. Before joining Credera, I finished my undergraduate studies in Computer Science. I will be starting my master’s this September in Technology Management.

What made you decide to apply for an internship with Credera?

I was looking to get some work experience before the start of my master’s degree in a consulting firm. My goal was to get experience in various practices within a business as well as to learn how a consultancy firm operates. I also wanted to add value to the company and work on some exciting projects. I believed Credera was the right place for me to do this and that my goals aligned with theirs.

What most excites you about your internship with us?

Having to actually go into an office after two whole years of lockdown was the first thing that excited me about joining Credera. Apart from that, having the opportunity to further my knowledge on various practices of the business, as well as working on projects that allowed me to add value to the company was another exciting aspect of the internship.

What do you think was your most significant accomplishment whilst working at Credera?

I would say my most significant accomplishment whilst working at Credera was knowing that the work I had done had added value to the firm. My first rotation was with the PMO where I made a project dependency engine which was very well received. My second rotation was with the recruitment team where I assisted them with the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and initiated projects that would improve the current ATS.

What are your goals for the future?

Completing my undergraduate studies made me realise that engineering was not for me and so I decided to shift my focus to the consulting sector. After finishing my masters, I plan to start my career as a management consultant.

In your own words, how would you describe Credera’s culture?

Credera has probably one of the most unique work cultures that I have ever come across. The people here are always put first. When we first started, my fellow interns and I were surprised by how friendly and welcoming everyone was on the team. As an intern, this is extremely encouraging as everyone here motivates you and helps you to be the best version of yourself.

How would you describe your overall experience of interning with Credera?

Interning at Credera has been an amazing opportunity and has allowed me to not only grow my skills, but also enabled me to learn and work on stuff that I thought I would never have the chance to. Meeting and interacting with all the brilliant people here at Credera was a priceless experience in itself as it allowed me to learn more about how a consultancy operates and gain further exposure to the different practices. My time here has been a wonderful learning experience in which I was able to work with some highly experienced individuals and also implement what I had learned during my education. It has been an absolute pleasure interning at Credera.
